Brewerton and Fulton Speedway Mod Lites To Transition To TUSA Sanctioned Tires

Updated: November 25, 2013

BREWERTON, NY – NOVEMBER 25,2013 – Fulton and Brewerton Speedway management is extending their alignment with Team USA (TUSA) Mod Lite Rules, with all cars now required to compete exclusively on Team USA (TUSA) sanctioned tires beginning July 1, 2014.  Teams will be permitted to burn off the Hoosier RC-1/100 until that July 1 cutoff date.

There will be no engine rule changes for 2014, however a transition to the TUSA – “A” Engine program (1000 stock and spec. engines only) is likely beginning with the for the 2015 race season. Finalization of that and any other rule updates will be announced following the TUSA board meeting at the PRI show Dec. 13, 2013. There will be no other variances or allowances

The 2014 Mod Lite competition schedule is still in the formative stages, but a very similar schedule is expected. The class will compete at all Friday night Brewerton Speedway events with approximately six events to be run at Fulton. New in 2014, however, the Fulton events will not factor into the handicapping for Friday night events, but they will continue to add points toward the overall Mod Lite championship. In addition, the Mod Lite point’s season will end, like all other weekly classes, on Labor Day weekend. Both the Outlaw Weekend and Hurricane 100 Mod Lite specials will remain on the schedule but will not have track points on the line.

Track management is also pleased to announce that Karl Schartner will return for his second year of tech inspection for the Mod Lite division in 2014.
